False arrests... do we have any proof of this? I think that saying she was falsely arrested is a personal opinion. Unless the Police Services Commision has officially ruled and judged that she has been victim of a false arrest, it stays an opinion, not a fact. --Deenoe 22:31, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Her charges have been dropped a number of times. Nonetheless, I've removed "falsely arrested" and left it just at "arrested" since that is more factual. If this is to your satisfaction remove the neutrality warning.--69.196.150.118 06:00, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
I was acquited on the first charge for the protest under the bridge in 2003. i.e. found not guilty. I think that is proof enough that I was falsely arrested that time.
The charge for 2004 at tent city was dropped when I was released from jail. Proof also of false arrest.
And finally in 2005 when I was arrested at city hall the mischief charge was never laid and the trespassing charge was dropped and I have a written police resolution that states I should never have been arrested for mischief or trespassing because I was engaged in a peaceful non obstructive protest. - False arrest is not what you describe. A false arrest, by definition, is an arrestation against the rules of the police services, using violence, not reading your rights, etc.. etc.. You we're found not guilty because the judge decided so, but you we're still arrested. --Deenoe 14:00, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Further to my description of the arrests I was arrested violently during the protest under the Terry Fox Bridge. And when I was found not guilty the judge said it was because, "the police evidence was problematic. In one policeman's notes from the day before my arrest it said protest to be closed down mischief charges Jane Scharf target. I also spoke with lawyers afterwards and they agreed that I had grounds for false arrest.
