Jack Cork (born June 25, 1989) is a footballer currently contracted to Chelsea but who spent the 2007/08 season on loan at Scunthorpe United. During the 2006-07 season he twice went on loan to Bournemouth. Cork is a versatile defender who can play anywhere across the back and can also play in the holding midfield role. He has also represented England at youth level, recently making his Under 19 debut against the Czech Republic[1], and has captained the Chelsea youth team. He has been at the club since the age of nine.[1]

He attended Glyn Technology School in Epsom and left in 2007 after completing his A Levels. And, although he did stand out, he was not particularly a 'star' player in the football team at Glyn. This accolade went to Louis Wright who is still to this day un-signed.

He is the son of former Wimbledon player Alan Cork.

He was selected to go on the pre-season tour of the United States when Lee Sawyer was forced to drop out. He made his first appearance for the first-team against Club América on 14 July 2007. He played out-of-position at left-back for most of the tour.[2]
