Jānis Krūmiņš (January 30, 1930 in the USSR – November 20, 1994) was a Soviet basketball player. Helped by his height (220 cm), he was the first giant center dominating under the european baskets, for years.
He played for ASK Riga and won 3 European champions' cups (1958,1959, 1960) and 4 USSR championships (1955, 1956, 1957, 1958).
As a player of Soviet Union national basketball team Jānis Krūmiņš won 3 gold medals at Eurobasket 1959, Eurobasket 1961, Eurobasket 1963 and 3 silver medals at 1956 Olympics, 1960 Olympics, 1964 Olympics.
