Irene Marie Models is the first international full service modeling and talent agency in Miami Beach, Florida. Irene Marie Models was founded in 1983 in Ft. Lauderdale Florida by former international fashion model and fashion columnist Irene Marie. In 1989 Irene moved her agency to South Beach to better serve the demand of European clients who were interested in the area’s dichotomy of Art Deco architecture and South Florida beaches. Driven by the Agency’s forte in developing new and undiscovered talent (such as Niki Taylor and Amber Smith) the Irene Marie Management Group gave birth to and later invigorated the once nonexistent modeling scene in Florida. Irene Marie is credited with reshaping the image of South Beach from its previous dark and dangerous Miami Vice image, to its current chic and fashion forward identity. In 2006 Irene Marie along with MTV launched 8th and Ocean, a television series chronicling the lives of models and staff at the Irene Marie Modeling agency. Today the Irene Marie Management Group has become more than a talent agency; it is now a recognizable international entertainment brand.

[edit] Divisions and Requirements

Gaining representation with one of the nation's top modeling agencies is a highly selective process. Of the thousands of yearly submissions made by prospective talent, less than 1% goes on to be represented by Irene Marie Models. Prospects are encouraged to only submit their photos if they meet the basic requirements listed below for their respective division.

Men's Fashion Division
The Men's Fashion Division books models for catalogs, editorials, advertisements, runways and other promotions in which clothing is featured. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and stand between 5'11 and 6'2.

Women's Fashion Division
The Women's Fashion Division books models for catalogs, editorials, advertisements, runways and other promotions in which clothing is featured. Applicants must be between 13 and 24 years of age and stand between 5'8 and 6'0.

Commercial Print Division
Commercial Print, also known as Lifestyle Modeling involves modeling in newspapers, magazines and catalogs in which any product (non-clothing) or service (cruise lines and resorts) is featured. Applicants must be 26 years of age or older at the time of submission and be in good physical condition. Male applicants must be 5'10 or taller, Female applicants must be 5'7 or taller.

Children Division
The Children's Division books young models for catalogs, advertisements, commercials, TV and movies. Applicants must be between 6 months and 14 years of age at the time of submission. Children must live within a 50 mile radius of Miami to be considered. Babies must be able to sit-up on their own and children from the ages of 13-15 must able to wear a child's clothing size (up to size 14). Children must be in good academic standing.

TV & Film Division
The TV & Film Division books actors for TV shows, music videos, webisodes, commercials and movies. Applicants must have prior acting experience. For teenagers 'acting experience' can include high school theatre, drama and singing experience. Adults must have the previously mentioned experience plus some formal acting/vocal training. Male applicants must be 5'10 or taller, female applicants must be 5'7 or taller.

Plus Division
The Plus Division books models for catalogs, editorials, advertisements and other promotions in which clothing is featured. Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the time of submission. Applicants must be 5'8 or taller and wear a dress size between a 10 to a 16.
