Iqbal Mehdi

Iqbal Mehdi (1943–2008) was a Pakistani artist. Iqbal Mehdi belonged to Amroha, India also the native place of John Aliya and Sadquain. He migrated from Amroha in 1958 to Pakistan along with his brother. Iqbal's parents stayed behind in India.
He joined Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Sabt-e-Hasan’s magazine, “Lail wo Nehar,” and with the passage of time started winning appreciation for his paintings. He also work for “Sab Rang” magazine.
Iqbal Mehdi passed away in Rawalpindi on May 19, 2008 after suffering from heart and liver diseases. Mehdi has left behind a wife, a daughter and a son.
