Ipa-Nima

Ipa-Nima is a designer fashion brand available in select stores worldwide. The company was founded by former Hong Kong litigator Christina Yu, after she moved to Vietnam in 1995.

According to Christina, Ipa-Nima is a label which set out to rejuvenate oriental fashion design and should not be described as "East-meets-West". Rather, the fundamental design concept is profoundly inspired from traditional craftsmanship and patterns combined with the modernity and glamour of the 21st century.

The success of Ipa-Nima has placed Vietnam on the map of the international fashion scene. Ipa-Nima has been exporting since 1997 to renowned retailers worldwide, including Henri Bendel, Fred Segal, Barney’s and Nordstrom in the U.S.; Harvey Nichols, Liberty’s, Selfridges, Harrods and Way-In in London; David Jones in Australia; Rustan’s in the Philippines, Barney’s and the Ginza in Tokyo; and Lane Crawford, Seibu and The Swank Shop in Hong Kong.

The coquettish glamour of Ipa-Nima bags quickly caught the attention of celebrities and stylists. Debra McGuire, stylist for the hit sitcom “Friends” liked to infuse a good dose of Ipa-Nima styles into the cast’s wardrobe.

Celebrity clients include Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, HRH Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, Shakira Caine, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Braxton, Yasmin Le Bon, Rebecca Gayheart, Sherilyn Fenn, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Cate Blanchett, Jill Hennessy, Renee Fleming, Denise Rich, Kelly Osbourne, Martha Stewart, Bai Ling, Michelle Yeoh, Maggie Cheung and Faye Wong.
