[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Age of Empires 2 Screenshot.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Age of Empires 2 Screenshot.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 07:40, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Age of Empires 2 Screenshot.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Age of Empires 2 Screesnshot.jpg. The copy called Image:Age of Empires 2 Screesnshot.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. [edit] License tagging for Image:Montycoon screenshot.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Montycoon screenshot.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:06, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kings campaign.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Kings campaign.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Your RfA

Hey. I saw you listed yourself to become an admin over at RfA. Firstly, I would like to extend thanks to you on behalf of the community for your willingness to help the community. It really is appriciated. However, your RfA was malformed, meaning that it was incorrectly listed. Firstly, all nominations should be placed at the top of the page, not the bottom. Further, your RfA was incomplete, with no answers to the mandatory questions that go along with RfA and no place for supports/opposes/neutrals. For further information on requesting adminship and the proper way to list yourself for it, see WP:GRFA. It has a lot of useful information. Besides that, best of luck with the request and happy editing, SorryGuy  Talk  03:43, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I should remind you that, thanks for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. However, you need to fill out every single question and form before you transclude, otherwise, your RfA won't count! Good luck, and you may want to consider taking this test. This should test to see whether you are ready to be one. BoL 04:04, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
See Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/nominate for proper formatting. Thanks. — DarkFalls talk 04:49, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
I have withdrawn your RfA because it does not appear that it has any chance of passing at this time. Please obtain more experience, listen to the comments at the request, and continue your excellent work. Happy editing! --Agüeybaná 19:07, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree. I've reviewed your sysop test, and what kind of an answer is "revert if I feel like it?" BoL 19:10, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
I see that your RFA did not succeed, I just wanted to say to study policy more before you go again and hope to see that your next RFA goes well. Oysterguitarist 20:01, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Username change

{{helpme|I would like my username to be changed to "InfocomExpert".}}

Hi. Please make you request at Wikipedia:Changing username.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 07:41, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

{{helpme|Please change my username to "IntfictExpert". And don't tell me to go to WP:CHU, cause I am getting no answers there.}}

Please go to Wikipedia:Changing username; your username will be changed soon. Also, please try not to use any more {{helpme}} templates for this request. Thank you, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 05:49, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

{{helpme}} I thought I said not to tell me to go to WP:CHU. Could you please change my name NOW, because I am not getting any responses.

I'm afraid that not just anyone can change your name. Only the 'crats can do that and the only way to find them is on WP:CHU. Don't worry too much, they will respond to you eventually.--Sunny910910 (talk|Contributions) 00:14, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Your name has been changed. In the future, please consider being more civil with your requests. Thank you. Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 00:15, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Age of Empires 2 Screenshot.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Age of Empires 2 Screenshot.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:43, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Julian Revermann

I have nominated Julian Revermann, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Julian Revermann. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. {{helpme|Please block me for a month because I'll be away for a month.}}

Sorry, we don't block people because they ask for it. If you have a strong-enough password, your account should be secure. Stwalkerstertalk ] 13:49, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mario Party DS

Why'd you change the image? You could've created a new image, and we could've included both in the article. - ~VNinja~ —Preceding comment was added at 19:25, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Spin 'n' Say controversy

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Spin 'n' Say controversy, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Dreaded Walrus t c 12:33, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Help

{{helpme|What is a userbox that says something like "This user contributes on a high basis to the Reference Desk"?}}

If there is one, it would say so at the ref. desk. I don't believe there is one. Mm40|Talk|Sign|Review 23:34, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
The best solution I have found is nice one, {{User:Patricknoddy/Userboxes/User Wikipedia reference desk}}, used in conjunction with this category. Category:Wikipedians who contribute to the reference desk. Hope that helps.--KerotanLeave Me a Message Have a nice day :) 23:41, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] languages

Are you really a native speaker of French, Japanese and Indonesian? You must have quite an unusual history! —Tamfang (talk) 17:42, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

No. I am not a native speaker of those languages. I merely have experience in those languages. I might have used the wrong template. Interactive Fiction Expert/Talk to me 10:59, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RfA nom

Thanks for the nomination, but at this stage I will decline. I had just been thinking at how I'm probably not as active here as I would have to be to make a decent admin. Confusing Manifestation(Say hi!) 23:30, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your Google question at WP:RD/C

It seems that you duplicated your question into the June 8 section, which caused some confusion because the two copies then fell out of sync. You may even have missed a useful answer to your question. I've deleted the extra copy and merged the final two comments into the archived version (which is still transcluded onto the current page anyway). --Tardis (talk) 17:22, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
