Institute for Women's Leadership
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Institute for Women's Leadership, created by the eminent former dean of Douglass College Mary S. Hartman,[1] is a "consortium of teaching, research, and public service units" operating in close association with Rutgers University, and more specifically Douglass Campus. The Institute is composed of seven consortium members, Douglass Residential College, the Department of Women's and Gender Studies, the Center for American Women and Politics, the Institute for Research on Women, the Institute for Women & Art, the Center for Women's Global Leadership, and the Center for Women and Work[2]. The Institute for Women's Leadership focuses on women's leadership issues on the local, national, and international scales. As a complementary function to its research and activist goals, the Institute provides a rich networking environment and supports the career development of its members.[3]
