Ijaz Ahmed (unnumbered Guantanamo detainee)

Ijaz Ahmed is a citizen of Pakistan who was reported to have been held in the United States Guantanamo Bay detainment camps, in Cuba.^[1][2] Pakistan's Daily Times reports that Ijaz Ahmed was born in Khoshab.

Ijaz Ahmed name is not listed on the official list of the names of all the Guantanamo captives, who were held in military custody, in Guantanamo.^[3]

The Daily Times reported that Ijaz Ahmed was repatriated with sixteen other men. The seventeen men were released from Pakistani custody on June 28, 2005.^[1][2] According to the Daily Times Punjab's chief minister’s adviser on religious affairs, Maulana Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, said local authorities wanted to investigate whether the men had been brainwashed and were still involved in any terrorist activity.
