Igor Astarloa Askasibar (born March 29, 1976 in Ermua, Basque Country) is a cyclist from Spain. He gained international fame when he became World Road Champion in 2003. During the 2006 transfer season for cyclist, it was announced that he would leave Team Barloworld (the Continental Circuit team for which Astarloa has ridden the last several years) for the German Team Milram, which is a member of the elite UCI ProTour.
