[edit] Timeline of Opera releases

Hey, looks great! Excellent job. To rotate the text, you probably want to give the text element an attribute like this: transform="rotate(45)" or something like that. You can also select the point from which to rotate from after the angle number. Here's a useful site that explains the transform attribute and many other SVG features that helped me a lot. Keep up the good work! --ADeveria 12:49, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, ADeveria. I've got a new version (v1.5) published. It loads a lot slower, unfortunately. Any guesses how I can make it run faster? Does transform use a lot of cpu operations? -Ice Ardor 06:58, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Someone named David pointed out that opacity, filters, and masks slow down rendering. After removing the .weekly opacity, it runs fast again. Version 1.6 is posted --Ice Ardor 18:33, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
v1.7 is posted, and v1.8 is on its way (see links in the comments for previews of v1.8)--Ice Ardor 15:52, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
v1.9.2 is posted, btw. I've also uploaded this to Wikipedia Commons as Image:Timline of Opera Releases.svg

Sorry for not responding sooner, I only just noticed your response(s)! I can't find the Wikipedia page which mentions this but I think the recommended way to communicate via user talk pages is by each person posting on the other's talk page, this way one would keep getting the "you've got new messages" notice as the other person responds. Of course, that's at the cost of a nicely threaded discussion on a single page. I dunno. Anyway, yeah, you're right, I'm sure it was the opacity or something, not transform. Looks good! Also, see your My Opera inbox. --ADeveria 16:58, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Jon von Tetzchner.png

The original author of Image:Jon von Tetzchner.png at Flickr has licensed it using cc-by-nc-sa; was it changed after you uploaded the photo or was it has an error of your own? --200.70.144.208 03:35, 12 September 2007 (UTC) Sorry. Previous comment was published by me. --FedericoMP 03:38, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Hmm... I can't remember. I'm assuming that Wikipedia is classified as a commercial entity, even if it doesn't intend to make a profit. --Ice Ardor 04:12, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Even so you should change the template in the image to cc-by-nc-sa. --FedericoMP 17:01, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

And this is why I say that open source obsession is overkill... it's just a freaking image, people! I've already said why I uploaded a miniscule album art cover. Stop questioning it!!! Seriously.

[edit] WinSafari doesn't pass Acid2?

I beg to differ. You rolled back my edit that WinSafari passes Acid2. But it does. Ben174 (talk) 22:02, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
