ICE Wireless is a cell phone provider in northern Canada. They were the first GSM carrier in Yukon and the Northwest Territories, in the extreme north of Canada. They currently provide coverage in Inuvik, Yellowknife, Aklavik, Tuktoyaktuk, Norman Wells, Fort Simpson, Hay River. [1].
In January 2007, the company shut down its Whitehorse, Yukon service, saying it could not compete with the territory's other two providers, both owned by Bell Canada. The Inuvik-based company says it will continue to offer its services in the Northwest Territories.[1]
