Ian Scott is an American record producer. In 2006, Scott joined Mark Jackson to produce soundtracks for hit MTV shows such as The Hills and Laguna Beach. Later that year he was signed to Mark Jackson's record label,The Mark Jackson Productions,who have produced hit songs for Ice Cube and Eminem

Scott was raised Jewish. He wanted to be a musician and started playing the piano at a very young age. He has produced tracks for artists and groups such as Josh Kelley, Ice Cube, Jewelry (group), Girls Aloud, Snoop Dogg, The Cheetah Girls, Brenda Song and Chamillionare among others. He has also sold a beat to Dr. Dre. He currently resides in Los Angeles where he creates most of his music.
Scott was the founding member of the successful pop/rock group Aces Down.Ian's songs garnered the attention of renowned hit songwriter Jake Hooker who wrote among " I Love Rock N Roll", one of the greatest and biggest hits of all time, according to both Billboard and Rolling Stone magazines. Hooker signed Ian to a development deal that yielded two highly acclaimed albums from fans and labels alike.
In 2005, after penning the first single for Laguna Beach star Talan Torriero's widely anticipated album on Papa Joe Records. Ian met producer Mark Jackson to begin production of the song "Dead In Hollywood". The song was featured on Laguna Beach via a live performance, with Ian and Mark taking guitar and vocal duties. Ian has among other things , Co-written and Co-produced original songs featured on MTV's Laguna Beach, as well as the spin off The Hills.
In addition,Ian has also written and produced songs for Disney star's Brenda Song and Alison Stoner and The Cheetah Girls Further, Ian has composed original scores for a Bratz commercial, and recently written and produced original songs for international platinum artists Jewelry (group),and British acts such as Girls Aloud.
Scott in currently producing songs for Hollywood Records Josh Kelley with Mark Jackson (producer). Scott has co-produced with Mark Jackson (producer) songs for Snoop Dogg,Ice Cube and Chamillionare.
Scott has written three demo tracks for Brenda Song including "Open Up Your Eyes", "Hearts and Souls" and "Girl Like Me".
