Huntington North High School is a large public secondary school serving all of Huntington County, Indiana. Enrollment is approximately 2,000 students. The school is operated by the Huntington County Community School Corporation and is located at 450 MacGahan Street in Huntington, Indiana. Huntington North opened in 1969 upon the consolidation of the North and South campuses of Huntington County Community High School. Ken Kline is currently the principal of the school.
Huntington North, home of the Vikings, is a member of the North Central Conference. The school has had a history of successful athletic programs including, in recent years, the girls' basketball program. The Lady Vikings, who play home games in the 5,500 seat North Arena, have received statewide recognition in winning state titles in 1990 and 1995. The program also produced Indiana's 1996 Miss Basketball, Lisa Winter.
The school's colors are red, white and black.
