Huang Chung is the self-titled debut album of the band Huang Chung (later known as Wang Chung). The album was supposed to be one of two that Huang Chung did for Arista Records, but they departed and signed on with Geffen Records afterwards. Meanwhile, after the release, the band’s saxophonist Dave Burnand a.k.a. Hogg Robinson left due to musical differences. The album also peaked at #105 on the U.S. Billboard 200. No song hit any charts in the U.S.A. or the U.K.

[edit] Trivia

  • Alex Feldman, sister of bass guitarist Nick Feldman, was in charge of logo design for the album cover.
  • A mastering error is present on the compact disc reissue. The track break between "I Never Want to Love You in a Half-Hearted Way" and "Ti Na Na" occurs a fraction of a second before the former track ends. Thus, track 3 begins with what sounds like a glitch, though it is actually the very end of track 2.
