Houston Leones is an American soccer team founded in 2007. The team is a member of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, and play in the Mid-South Division of the Southern Conference in 2008, against teams from Austin, Baton Rouge, Dallas, El Paso, Jackson, Laredo and New Orleans.
The team play their home games at The Soccer World Center, a soccer-specific facility in the city of Richmond, Texas, 32 miles (51 km) west-southwest of downtown Houston. The 17 acre facility, which comprises three fields (including a 4,500-seat stadium field that is expandable to 8,000-10,000), was built by team owner Juan Carlos Hernandez. The team's colors are blue and white.
The Leones are the first sports entertainment franchise located in the historical city of Richmond in Fort Bend County.
