Hot 30 Countdown

Hot30 Countdown, is an Australian radio program broadcast on the Austereo Network. It is related to The Hot Hits radio show.
[edit] HostsThe show was formerly hosted by Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O. Before then, it was originally hosted by Ugly Phil and Jackie O. Sandilands and Jackie O moved to drivetime on the Austereo Network in 2004, in which Labrat and Alexis (from MMM Adelaide) were hired to host. Labrat eventually left, and was replaced by Higgo. Upon Alexis moving to SAFM and Higgo to Fox FM in 2005, Craig "Lowie" Low took over the program. Lowie stepped down in November 2006, with Sam Mac as the new host. This was however only temporary and Tim Lee now anchors the show. Co-hosting the show is "Biggzy", who also co-hosted with both Sam Mac and Low. One of the show's biggest competitors is the Nova Top 10 and Nite Life. The current Hot30 Countdown team is made up of Jason "Web Guy" Ilagan, Angus "Gusta Busta" Kell and Dan "Audioboz" Bozykowski. People who have previously worked on the Hot30 Countdown include: Mamajugs, Shorty Brown, Jason "Labrat" Hawkins, Ryan Wellington, Derek "DB" Bargwanna, Doug Steele, Leah, Yvette "Yvette" Maurice, Wesley (Sh**boy), Jane "Yoyo" McLaren and Mindy. The show is currently hosted by Tim Lee and Carla "Biggzy" Bignasca. [edit] FormatThroughout the show, as the name suggests, thirty songs are played which have been voted for by listeners either via phone, SMS or online. The songs are played in the order as voted on during the previous day. During the early-mid-2000s, numbers 10-8 were remixed together by DJ KCB. At the end of the show, one voter is given a prize. The show also features numerous other segments including new music previews, interviews and competitions. [edit] Affiliates
