Regarding the 'update' posted by 203.173.57.155. A Google search for "Mark Deane-Johns" reveals zero results, as does a Google News search. I've thus deleted the information from the article, as it is not only irrelevant, but also appears false. Cnwb 00:03, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
Excuse me but it is not false - I included the newspaper and television news dates. It occurred in Yarmouth Street, Dover Gardens, Adelaide, South Australia at around 8 o'clock pm on Wednesday, 5th October 2005. Just because the internet stories have expired and been deleted does not mean it didn't happen! So I guess the photo of him I found on a site is false too as his name doesn't bring up any search results? As for it being irrelevant, I don't feel it is. I included it to show the sort of family she comes from (i.e. scum).
If you still feel that I am a liar you can contact the Sturt Police Station and enquire as to whether or not this happened. In fact, please do, as I take great offence to being accused of being dishonest! Also, if you think my sources are false then do some research on The Advertiser newspaper and Channels Ten, Nine and Seven. You will find that they are all very real news sources in Adelaide.

- I included it to show the sort of family she comes from (i.e. scum). - in which case, you're trying to slant the article in a particular way - you're trying to assert your point of view - which runs against the aims of wikipedia.
- In any case, I'm baffled as to why Google reveals ZERO results for "Mark Deane-Johns", "Mark Deane Johns", or "Holly Deane-Johns" +mark. If this was reported in the mass-media, there would surely be Google hits - even if the articles are expired. Cnwb 22:27, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
OK, I accept that reasoning behind not including it - it was the snide 'appears false' comment that angered me. His name is not mentioned but it wouldn't take much to confirm that he was involved. A quick email, phone call or letter to the relevant police department perhaps.
As for no results for Mark Deane-Johns on Google, well I just typed that in and the first result was for him, as was the first result when I typed in Holly Deane-Johns +mark. I'm automatically redirected to google.com.au if I type google.com though so perhaps that's why you get no results (if you are searching on a non-Australian Google). I haven't had the best results with Google in the past so you might want to start using some other search engines like I've had to.
Anyway, I hope now you know I'm not making it up. I don't care at all that it was deleted, I just don't want to be thought of as a liar!

Holly Deane-Johns is no longer 28, please change to correct age which is 33, or restructure wording, e.g. Holly Deane-Johns was arrested in 2000 at the age of 28. PloRnt 20:38, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
Recent edits indicate two competing versions:
- "In 2006 Deane-Johns applied to be transferred to a Western Australian jail on grounds that she wished to be closer to her fiance Stephen Wallace"
and
- "In 2006 Deane-Johns applied to be transferred to a Western Australian jail on grounds that she wished to be able to complete her education and contribute to society, even from behind bars. The media erroneously reported that her stated reason was to "be closer to her fiance Stephen Wallace"
As these are clearly contradictory, and neither is source, they will both be removed for now. If you are able to provide a source in support of either version, please do so. Hesperian 06:41, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
