In 2001 the term "hobnail boot" was used by Larry Munson to describe the win over the University of Tennessee by the University of Georgia. A Georgia former running back (current Pittsburgh Steeler) named Verron Haynes caught a pass from former QB David Greene (current Seattle Seahawk) to put Georgia on top and win the game. It led Munson to exclaim "we justed crushed their faces with a hobnail boot!!!". It was the call and game that would define QB David Greene and set the tone for new Coach, Mark Richt. 05:58, 13 December 2006 User:138.163.160.42
