Hizla (Bengali: হিজলা) is an Upazila of Barisal District in the Division of Barisal, Bangladesh.

Hizla is located at . It has 30184 units of house hold and total area 515.36 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Hizla has a population of 166265. Males constitute are 52.76% of the population, and females 47.24%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 75315. Hizla has an average literacy rate of 27.7% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
