Hiroshi Fujiwara (藤原ヒロシ, Fujiwara Hiroshi) is a popular Japanese musician, trendsetter, producer, and designer, born in 1964.
HMV rated him #93 in their "Top 100 Japanese pops Artists."
He is known as the godfather of Harajuku culture and is a globally influential streetwear designer. You know, anybody can be called this so it doesn't really mean anything.[Neutrality disputed — See talk page]
Most young people thinks highly of him culturally, but actually there are a lot of backlash and negative feedback because of curt, off-the-cuff, statements he's made via issues that are somewhat novice. A large problem with that is because of the consumerist attitude of his brands, there's an apathetic attitude towards everything else--therefore his followers tend to go with whatever he says. Such is the power of influential people such as Fujiwara.[Neutrality disputed — See talk page]
He currently finished producing a DVD for Eric Clapton and is making designs for Nike and Levis, in addition to marketing.
Those interested in further reading should refer to his blog, although most nuances and topics won't directly translate. Basically, he's a glorified clothing "designer", and second-division in the world of Japanese fashion, at best.[Neutrality disputed — See talk page]
