Hilda Burroughs, ne Hilda Corners, nicknamed "Sharpie" or "Sharp Corners," is one of the two female lead characters in Robert A. Heinlein's novel The Number of the Beast. She also appears in his later novels The Cat Who Walks Through Walls and To Sail Beyond the Sunset as a member of a council, including among other members Lazarus Long, which seeks to preserve the history of the various versions of Earth in Heinlein's multiverse against non-human influences.
Hilda, a long time family friend, marries mathematician Jacob "Jake" Burroughs early in the novel, at the same time Jake's daughter Deety marries Hilda's friend Zebidiah John Carter.
