[edit] A minor edit
While I agree that the Border Collie is regarded by many to be "the best herding dog" (I am a life-long BC owner and have two right now), I don't think the following sentence is particularly informative or encyclopedia worthy: "The Border Collie is known as the best herder,but there is much controversey over this."
I've replaced that sentence with a brief discussion of the different styles of herding and how different breeds are used to suit various conditions. 71.196.197.174 21:38, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
