Helena Frith Powell is an author and a columnist.
She has written two books, one on moving to France where she lived with her family for five years, and another on the secrets behind French style and taste. The latter, Two Lipsticks and a Lover, has been bought by Penguin in the US and Arrow in the UK for paperback publication. It was the subject of a bidding war on both sides of the Atlantic.
Helena started her career as a model and clothes designer in her teens. After university, she worked as a journalist for a financial magazine, before going into recruitment.
She went back into journalism after moving to France and now writes regularly for The Daily Mail (where her latest book was serialised for a five-figure sum following a bidding war between the major UK papers), The Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph, as well as for various magazines such as Red, Tatler and Harpers & Queen.
Her television experience includes regular appearances on Richard & Judy, reports for BBC London TV, and appearances on Sky News and Channel 5 News.
Powell speaks fluent Swedish, Italian and French.
