[edit] Popular Culture
Should we mention references in popular culture? Because of the futuristic look of the VP70, it has been a popular choice for sci-fi. The standard issue pistol prop of the Colonial Marines in Aliens was a VP70.
- Lists of appearances by this or that weapon in popular culture have been such a problem in the past that the Military History project drew up some guidelines, which you can find here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history#Popular culture. As an example, the case you mention would not qualify, because it isn't notable and it would also encourage lists of other appearances. (ps. Please sign your comments using ~~~~).

The gun was also used by James Bond in a novel by James Gardner. Would that qualify? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.11.22.35 (talk) 22:11, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Recoil Inertia Bolt?
Yeah, if anybody is confused by this, this is Germanspeak translation of blowback. I changed the infobox, will look at the text to make sure. --Asams10 (talk) 04:04, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
