[edit] Synopsis

Larry, a municipal restaurant health inspector, is assigned a new rookie partner after recklessly closing restaurants for code violations, Amy Butlin (Iris Bahr), by his boss, Bart Tatlock (Tom Wilson). Together, Larry and Amy work to solve a series of food poisonings at four-star restaurants.

[edit] Reception

The film, which was not screened for critics before its release, was universally panned by critics and avoided by moviegoers alike. Three days following its release, the film was ranked number one on IMDb's Bottom 100, and as of 14 August, 2007, it is ranked number #87 in the Bottom 100. It also currently retains a 6% rating from critics at Rotten Tomatoes[1]. Larry the Cable Guy (Dan Whitney) was nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actor for his performance.

[edit] Trivia

  • Larry lives on 114 Sycamore Street. This may be a reference to a Jeff Foxworthy joke.
  • When Larry is riding his bike he is carrying a John Cena blow up hand.
  • Larry's neighbor is Donnie the Retard, a character from Larry's stand-up material. Donnie is played by David Koechner, who played T-Bones on the Naked Trucker and T-Bones Show.
  • Larry included some of his own jokes in the script
