Purpose
This template is used to mark the character/word to which a content note is going to be attached in Wikipedia and add an optional hovering description in the text. To create the content note itself, use Template:Cnote.

Required parameter
- {{{1}}}: character for the note (=name of content note) to which this marker is going to point
- {{{2}}}: short hovering description of the note to which this marker is going to point
