Talk:Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora

[edit] About the meaning of the title
I think there should be the rough meaning of "Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora". I would translate it to "The sky where the half-moon lies". What do you think about this translation? Or do you have better translations?--Park-j 17:17, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, since Noboru in the title is spelled out in hiragana, we can't use a direct translation, but noboru does translate to either rise or climb depending on the kanji used. So it's be closer to use the translation of "The rising half-moon in the sky." In any case, it seems the title has the subtitle "looking up at the half-moon" that has seem to have been disregarded, however that is definately not a translation of the title. In any case, I'll change the lead to the article now. -- (十八|talk) 18:26, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think noboru means have rised in this title, since Japanese is sometimes too loose in tenses. But the translation "Thi rising half-moon in the sky" is pretty good. I agree with you. Thank you. --210.131.166.237 04:53, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

- 'Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora' literally means 'The Sky in which the Half-Moon Rises'. Atashi 05:11, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Some stuff
- Hantsuki has been licensed for streaming on http://www.bosttv.com/series/hantsuki/. Where would this best be mentioned?
- Further character illustrations. Should we add images of more characters or leave it at the two protagonists? Ultimately the series revolves around them and only them, so I think one picture suffices. The entire cast picture from the <no-spoiler> scene in the ED would be one option, but I don't fancy it.
- Episode summaries, I suppose I'll wait with any attempt to write them 'til I've rewatched the series, maybe even 'til I've bought the DVD box. If anyone else wants to give it a shot in the meantime, it'd be great. --SaberExcalibur! 23:15, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- The licensing can go under the anime section. I also agree that we don't need more character images, though a single image of many characters could be helpful. Also, I don't think an image of the entire cast that is that small is going to be of any help to anyone; it's too hard to discern the characters.--十八 23:34, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah. I'm not very active on enwiki, is the 300px width an absolute limit or can there be exceptions for cases like this? The original screencap is in ~830 x ~400, let me know what size is appropriate and I'll reupload it. --SaberExcalibur! 00:01, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- The problem is that their faces are so small so it's hard to see what they look like; I don't think it will matter if it's displayed larger or not since the faces in the image are small to begin with. And then there's the issue with the visual spoiler...--十八 03:13, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- Right, rather no cast image than a bad cast image. I'll remove it and find some speedy template to have it deleted. --SaberExcalibur! 13:13, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
