Hanalani Schools is an independent, private Christian college preparatory school centrally located in the town of Mililani, on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. Hanalani has approximately 750 students spanning their pre-K programs all the way through 12th grade.
[1]Begun in 1952 as King's Schools, the small church nursery soon grew into a thriving elementary school on Wilikina Drive in Wahiawa. In 1973, King's Schools changed its name to Hanalani Schools and was officially incorporated as a nondenominational, non-profit organization by the state of Hawaii.
Hanalani Schools is fully accredited by the American Association of Christian Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Hanalani competes scholastically and athletically in various public and private school leagues on Oahu including the Interscholastic League of Honolulu, or ILH.
Hanalani's does not have an official on field mascot, but did adopt a "Strongman" logo in 2003. There sports teams go by the name of Royals, a name taken from the schools Protestant Christian heritage. The school colors are purple, and gold.
