Hampton Dellinger

Hampton Dellinger (born 1967) is a North Carolina lawyer who was a candidate for the 2008 Democratic nomination for Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina. He lost the Democratic primary on May 6, 2008 to Walter H. Dalton. [1] While the 2008 campaign was Dellinger's first run for elective office, he has held state government posts under Mike Easley when the latter served as North Carolina Attorney General and later as Governor.
Dellinger is the son of law professor and former Acting Solicitor General of the United States Walter Dellinger.
