Halterworth Primary School is a primary school situated in Romsey, Hampshire, England. The school was opened in 1971, and caters for children aged 7-11, whilst the attached Infants department teaches 4-7 year-olds. It is a feeder school for The Mountbatten School And Language College.

The current headteacher is Jo Cottrell, who superseded Bob Sprague. He himself took over from Mrs. Carswell as head. As of 2001, there were 418 pupils on the roll. In 2000, the school’s test results were in the top five per cent nationally for science, and well above average in English and mathematics.

In the 1978-79 season, the school's football team won the Romsey and District Schools` six-a-side tournament. They won their preliminary group games 9-0, 1-0, 5-0, and 5-0, before triumphing 4-1 in their semi-final match against Cupernham. The final resulted in a narrow 3-2 win over Romsey County Junior. The victorious team was: Andrew Haworth (captain), Neil Jenkins, Christopher Garrett, Darren Chatterley, Paul Neilson, Jeremy Inglis (goalkeeper), and Andy Cook (substitute). Chatterley is the son of the former Southampton F.C. coach Lew Chatterley.

That same season, the 11-a-side team had a chance of winning the league championship, only needing a draw away to arch rivals Cupernham in their final match to secure the title. Unfortunately, the game was Halterworth's worst performance of the season, with a 0-7 thrashing ending any hopes of a League and Cup double. Other players appearing in the first team that season were: Michael Hanby, Kelvin Redwood, Philip Johnson, Alistair Humphery, and Nicky Hasell.
