Halcott Mountain is a mountain located in Greene County, New York; its southwest ridge extends across the borders of Delaware and Ulster counties. The mountain is part of the Catskill Mountains. Halcott Mtn. is flanked to the west by South Mountain, and faces Balsam Mountain to the east across Deep Notch, beneath which runs the Shandaken Tunnel aqueduct.
The east side of Halcott Mountain drains into Bushnellsville Creek, thence into Esopus Creek, the Hudson River, and into New York Bay. The south side of Halcott Mtn. drains into Birch Creek, thence into Esopus Creek. The west side of Halcott drains into Emory Brook, thence into Bush Kill, Dry Brook, the East Branch of the Delaware River, and into Delaware Bay. The north side of Halcott drains into Vly Creek, thence into Bush Kill.
Halcott Mountain's summit is within New York's Catskill Park.
