The Haggar Clothing Company was founded in 1926 in Dallas, Texas by Lebanese immigrant Joseph M. Haggar.
Haggar coined the term "slacks" for men's pants in the 1940s.[2]
In 2005, Haggar Corp. was acquired by a group of private investors led by Infinity Associates.[3] The company began a marketing campaign called "Making Things Right" to strengthen ties with retailers and improve its brand's image among consumers.[1]
