Haşim Kılıç

Haşim Kılıç (born 13 March 1950) is a Turkish economist. Currently, Kılıç presides over the Constitutional Court of Turkey, as of October 22, 2007.
Kılıç was born in Haci Hasanli village of Çiçekdağı district, Kırşehir Province. He attended in 1968 Eskişehir Academy of Economics and Commerce graduating in 1972. From 1974 until 1985, he served as financial auditor at the Court of Accounts. Kılıç was elected member of the Board of the Court of Accounts of Turkey, a position he held five years long.
On December 7, 1990, he was appointed member of Constitutional Court by then president Turgut Özal. On December 7, 1999 and December 7, 2003, he was elected twice deputy president of the court.
He is married to Gönül Kılıç. The couple has four children.[1]
