Gyromantis kraussi
Spiny bark mantis is the False speices of th True species: Paraoxypilus sp.

This species having spines behind the eyes, pale yellow brown body mimicing the bark which is were it got its name. The wide abdomen having ridges which bring out the spines. This species being a sub is Brachypterous-short winged female.

This species can be called the Bark runner because of the unusual way to run over the bark when disturbed, but if disturbed at all which can only be possible if some big boom or loud noises etc.

Captive rearing can be quite difficult because of the size, feeding would need baby crickets when small nymphs but when adults need much larger types of insects like stink bug because of what lives on the bark in the wild.
