[edit] Life
Guo Fu was not as intelligent as her mother although as beautiful. She constantly made trouble for her family, and constantly bullied the young Yang Guo (楊過) with Wu Xiuwen (武修文) and Wu Dunru (武敦儒) as a child. Almost ten years later, she was reunited with Yang Guo and became infatuated with him. However, Yang Guo by then was in love with Xiaolongnü (小龍女). When Yang Guo rejected her father's proposal of her marriage to Yang Guo, she was deeply offended.
When Yang Guo was poisoned, she believed he wanted to trade her younger infant sister, Guo Xiang, for the antidote to his poison. Furthermore she learned that Yang Guo had told Wu Xiuwen and Wu Dunru that Guo Jing agreed for him to marry her, not knowing that Yang Guo was only trying to stop the two brothers from fighting each other to the death for her. She told him about his mentor's rape incident in a rage, and Yang Guo slapped her in the face. They fought briefly, but having been poisoned, Yang Guo did not have strength to resist. Putting his arm up to defend himself against Guo Fu's sword, Guo Fu severed Yang Guo's right arm. Later, Guo Jing wanted to punish her by cutting her arm off, he was only stopped by his wife, Huang Rong.
She married Yelü Qi (耶律齊), who later became the new leader of Beggars' Sect (丐帮). At the end of the novel she finally was at peace with Yang Guo after he rescued her husband from the Mongolian army.
It is unknown of her fate after Xiangyang was finally conquered, since her parents and brother died after defending the city.
