Wow, and I thought that other nations also had gunboats. I must have been wrong, only the Americans.
What about gunboat deplomacy throughout the world?

Agree with comment above, one could believe gunboats are essentially an american type of ship. I added the SMS Panther picture, it does quite a difference, but the text needs some major editing.--victor falk 18:33, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
