Guidance, Navigation and Control

Guidance, Navigation and Control (abbreviated GNC or GN&C) is a branch of engineering science dealing with the design of systems to automatically control or remote-control devices which are moving in space.
Examples for GNC systems are:
- Autopilots
- Driverless cars, like Mars rovers or those partcipating in the DARPA Grand Challenge
- Guided missiles
- precision-guided airdrop systems
