Greg Back is the Wikipedia username of Greg Back, a sophomore electrical engineering and mathematics major at Ohio Northern University.

[edit] Wikipedia Background

I discovered wikipedia a couple years ago, and thought the concept was an interesting one. I used the articles for a variety of research, both as a starting point for school projects and for random information I was curious about. Then I decided to get a user name and see if I could help out. I made a few (ok, very few) edits and then got sidetracked with other things. Regrettably, I have not (yet) made much of a contribution, even though two of my edits (Ohio Northern and Lakota Schools) were rather extensive, being made all at once instead of in a series. I have continued to browse wikipedia, learning the good (and bad) things that go on behind the scenes. In the last couple months, I have become increasingly aware of the intense criticism some individuals have of wikipedia, and have decided to respond by launching myself back into the chaos of editing wikipedia. I'm still trying to find my niche on wikipedia. I figure my contributions will be more plentiful and of better quality if I can actually enjoy what I'm doing. I should start increasing my quantity of edits around the beginning of September, when I return to school and have more time on my hands (sounds ironic, but is actually true).
