Gregory ("Greg") John Dayman (born February 21, 1947 in Wellington) is a former field hockey player from New Zealand, who was a member of the national team that won the golden medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.
A talented left back, Dayman first played for the NZ national team in 1969, was vice-captain of the 1972 Olympic team and was named captain of the 1980 team, that never played at 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of the boycott. In 1976 he won Olympic selection even though he was living in London to further his career as an architect. Dayman took over from Arthur Borren as coach of the Auckland University club side and has also been involved in hockey at junior level.
