Great Bridgeford

Great Bridgeford is a village in Staffordshire, England. It lies on the A5013 and is the point where the B5405 meets the A5013.
The village lies on the mainline west coast (London to Glasgow) railway and contains a Post Office, a small shop, a village hall, and two tennis courts.
The railway line at Great Bridgeford was the scene of a major accident and derailment on the evening of 6 June 1932. Four people died and many others were injured in this accident.[1] A picture of the rail locomotive lying on its side in the aftermath of the accident can be seen here: [2]
Personalities: The only notable personality from Great Bridgeford is Natasha Nicholson who recently was accepted to attend the prestigious Trinity College of Music in London as of September 2008.
Another notable Great Bridgeford person is Lauren Nicholson, who created a prefect system for students at Blessed William Howard High School in Stafford. She now studies Law at The University of Warwick.
