In 2004, Gravion was followed by a sequel: Gravion Zwei (Zwei: German for two). This second series aired from January 8 to March 25, 2004 in Japan, and in the twelve additional episodes answers were given to questions generated from the first series as new action was generated.
It is available on DVD and VHS; each is three volumes.
Gravion Z has the Earth Forces (EFA) develop their own gravity machines, the Gran Troopers. Each G-Trooper has the abilities of Gran Kaiser plus one of the Gran Divas. Ena is revealed to be a series of Proto Gran Divas. The prototype G-System is called Gran Sigma, and it is used as the core for the new Gravion, Sol Gravion. The Great White Fang is revealed to be usable only when all the Gran Divas are occupied.
While G-Trooper pilots are known as G-Soldiers, the pilots of Gravion are referred to as Gran Knights.
With the arrival of Sol Gravion, new and more powerful Gran Divas from the same source, its components, arrive: Geo Javelin (a flying G-Driller), Geo Stinger (jet), Geo Calibre (jet), Geo Mirage (jet, replacement for G-Shadow), and Gran Sigma.
The new Gran Divas can be used with Gran Kaiser to create Sol Gravion. The combination with Gran Sigma is also referred to as Great Gravion.
The combination of Gran Sigma with the black versions of the weaker Gran Divas is called God Sigma Gravion.
Gran Sigma was originally driven by Zeig.
