The Grand Rapids-Muskegon-Holland, MI CSA has a population of 1,323,095 (as of July, 2007.) It is the 2nd largest census statistical area in Michigan (behind only Metro Detroit.) It includes the following counties.
The primary cultural and financial centers of the region are Grand Rapids, Muskegon and Holland.

The area includes the following shopping malls.
Westshore Mall
The area is noted for its proximity to the Lake Michigan shoreline and its beaches. As a result the area is a popular tourist destination during the summer months. Noted popular beach areas include Grand Haven, Muskegon, Saugatuck, and Holland.
Other popular tourist destinations include Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park located in the outskirts of Grand Rapids, and Michigan's Adventure theme park located in Muskegon.
