The Grand Canal Shoppes is a 500,000 sq ft shopping mall adjacent to The Venetian Hotel & Casino and The Palazzo on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada.
The mall was opened along with the Venetian in 1999. The mall has a Venetian theme, and has indoor canals where gondolas will take you around the mall. The mall has a few major national chains, such as Ann Taylor and Banana Republic, and many designer and upscale shops. Live performances can be found throughout the mall.
As of 2008, the mall was seeing 20 million visitors a year, among the highest in the country.[1]

General Growth Properties acquired the 400,000 sq ft mall from Las Vegas Sands in 2004 for $776 million.[2]
An expansion of the Grand Canal Shoppes was completed in 2007 as a part of The Palazzo Hotel & Casino construction.
