Graham Docherty is co-owner of a chain of sports stores in Edinburgh.
Docherty was born in Glasgow in 1959. He was raised in the city then went to university to study to be a Chartered Accountant. He lived in the United States for a brief period in the late seventies and later for some years in South Africa where he practiced as an accountant.
In the late eighties he returned from South Africa and moved to Edinburgh where to this day he is director for a sportswear chain.
A keen sportsman, Docherty played rugby to a high standard in Scotland's national league. Nowadays he regularly enjoys golf, tennis and football.
Docherty is married with two daughters.
