Geum quellyon Sweet |
Geum quellyon Sweet is a perennial herb of the Rosaceae family, growing in the Central Region of Chile. It has been used in the traditional medicine of the Mapuche Amerindians of Chile to treat tooth neuralgia, gastric inflammation, prostatitis and to regulate menstruation[1] The methanolic extract is obtained from the root of Geum quellyon. It is has a lot of action include anti inflammatory effect, anti oxidant, and antitumor effect which is our concern. The methanolic extract contain tannin compounds Tannins have been shown to have antitumor activity[2]
