High School Musical: Get in the Picture

High School Musical: Get in the Picture is a reality-based TV series which is scheduled to premiere on July 20, 2008 on ABC. The series is a spinoff of the popular Disney High School Musical franchise and the first on network television to be based on said series. Nick Lachey will be the series host. The show would conduct a nationwide talent hunt followed by a group of contestants undergoing training to hone their skills.^[1]

The winner of ABC's summer reality show will appear in a music video that is shown over the end credits of the theatrical release of High School Musical 3: Senior Year.^[2]
