[edit] Environmental Protection Userbox

Hi Geohevy,
Thanks for using the userbox that I created (the one about supporting environmental protection). I'm glad that there're people in the world who care about the environment just as much as I do. Please encourage your friends to put up this userbox if they have accounts in Wikipedia. Currently I am doing double major (Biology and Environment Science) at University of Toronto. If you have any questions about environmental protection, please don't hesitate to contact me by wiki. OhanaUnited 06:19, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello! I'm glad others recognize that we need to protect Earth too! Nobody cares... 05:04, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] helpme

Hello, you used the {{helpme}} tag. How may I help you? When you've asked your question, please put the tag back so we know to check back. Alternatively, you can join the Wikipedia Bootcamp IRC channel to get real-time help. (Use the web-based client to get instant access.) Luna Santin 11:08, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

{{helpme}}

OK, sorry it's been awhile! I wanted to learn more about "wiki markup" or whatever its called. For example, the boxes on my user page: I "stole" those from other pages and want to know how to make them myself. TIA Geohevy 00:08, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
The wikimarkup language (wikitext) is a large and complicated language! I'm not entirely sure about what you need help, but Wikipedia:How to edit a page and Help:Contents should provide you with a starting point.
However, you did mention userboxes. These are a bit harder. They make use of CSS (cascading style sheets) — an important language for producing pages that are anything other than one row of text after another. For example, you could write:
Hello, Wikipedia!
or you could write, using CSS:
<div style="background:#9BB; border:5px solid #000; font-size:150%; -moz-border-radius:10px; padding:20px; text-align:center;">Hello, Wikipedia!</div>
this would produce
Hello, Wikipedia!
In addition, userboxes also take advantage of a great asset of the wikimarkup language: tables. See Help:Tables for more information about that. If you have any technical questions, feel free to ask them at the help desk, or at the village pump for hard technical things. You can also program within Wikipedia: see m:ParserFunctions and Help:Templates. Happy editing! GracenotesT § 01:08, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Old Yeller

Your plot summary for Old Yeller was tops. OlYeller 01:37, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:CVU status

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! [edit] WikiProject Redwall Roll-Call

Hey there! Your username is listed on the WikiProject Redwall participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Your name has therefore been moved to a "Potentially Active" list. If you still consider yourself an active WikiProject Redwall editor, please move your name from the "Potentially Active" list to the "Active Participants" list. You may also wish to add {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Redwall/Userbox}} to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the "Inactive" list. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project, however, you may move your name to the "Inactive" list. Thanks! ~~~~

[edit] Merge Proposal

There is a discussion going on about whether or not to merge WikiProject Dogs and WikiProject Dog breeds together. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Coaster1983 (talk) 18:22, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
