George Randolph Hearst III

George Randolph Hearst III (born 1955) is the Vice President, Associate Publisher, and General Manager of the Albany Times-Union.
He is the second child of George Randolph Hearst, Jr. and Mary Astrid Thompson and great-grandson of William Randolph Hearst. He is a cousin of William R. Hearst III, Patty Hearst Shaw and Virginia H. Randt. Hearst, previously the Director of Operations of the Albany Times Union (in Albany, New York), is now its Associate Publisher and General Manager.[1] He is a member of the board of directors of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center [2] and St. Peter's Health Care Services, a hospital in Albany. [3] He sued the producer of the "reality-TV" movie Hopelessly Rich, which aired on VH1 in 2003, over his portrayal in the made-for-TV movie by a con man who impersonated Hearst to the producers. [4][5]
He filed an action to close down the website www.hearstmania.com at the end of 2004, stating in his claim that the operator of the site, who calls himself "Kevin Randolph Hearst" but which site is registered to "Matthew Edison" is showing that he is related to the famous Hearst family, and is not.
