This is an audio sample of an important period of Genesis' history. Ray Wilson replaced the long standing Phil Collins as the new lead singer. The album that ensued was a commercial failure in the United States and prompted Genesis to reconsider touring in the region and disband.
[edit] Rationale of fair use
This sample is used to as an example of the Genesis album "Calling All Stations", as well as to illustrate songs typical of their style during this period.
- It illustrates an educational article that specifically discusses the song from which this sample was taken
- It is a sample from a much longer recording, and could not be used as a substitute for the original commercial recording
- It is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted sample of comparable educational value
- It is believed that this sample will not affect the value of the original work or limit the copyright holder's rights or ability to distribute the original recording
I believe that this use of the excerpt is in good faith, and that its inclusion does not reduce the commercial value of the recording from which it was drawn. Ceoil 21:32, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
